Job Summary
The Mentor Coach role is critical in guiding Head Start teachers to further develop their planning, instruction, and content knowledge. Mentor Coaches help orient teachers to their school community and to teaching in general. Mentor Coaches will also provide training and technical support for this Head Start career. Minimum requirement, the applicant must have a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with at least two years of experience working with young children and families. Must complete all trainings required by child care licensing, including but not limited to the following: a. Ongoing Training: Staff must participate in annual training on child safety, mandated reporting, and emergency procedures (Title 22, §101216.2). b.
