Under the direction of the Director of Secondary Education, plan and implement elementary through high school Speech and Debate program activities. This position requires implementation of Speech and Debate trainings, lessons, and competitions. The Speech and Debate Coach will play a significant role to optimize the team’s operational ability through peer-to-peer coaching and administrative tasks.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma • Preference to coaches who participated in at least one year of competitive speech at the high school or college level, either as a competitor or coach. Theater experience can apply. • A minimum of 48 College Credits or pass a District Exam • Concurrent college enrollment preferred or recent college graduate • Prior experience working with students or speech and debate team setting preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Tuberculosis Test Clearance required upon hired.
