Job Summary
The job of Health Services Billing Technician is done for the purpose/s of performing technical-level duties in support of Medi-Cal and Commercial Insurance reimbursement activities to include the preparation, inputting, updating, and maintaining various departmental education related data and information into specialized database systems; assist in the analysis, development, maintenance, enhancement, operation, administration and training of the database systems; assist in analyzing needs and modifying existing systems to improve data sharing, accuracy, reporting and performance in order to maximize funding; and assist in the training and provision of technical support to the LEA. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: This is a single level position that will operate under the direction of the Supervisor of Youth Mental Health Services. Eighty percent of the job is dedicated to compliance monitoring and local state and federal reimbursement policies and twenty percent of assigned duties will be reconciling local state and federal mandated fiscal reporting. This job reports to Youth Mental Health Services Supervisor
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicant is required to have any combination equivalent to an Associate's Degree in a health science, business, or education related area and 3 years of experience in data management, accounting, or book keeping.
