Job Summary

The Academic Tutor provides targeted Tier II academic intervention in reading and/or mathematics to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Working under the direction of the site principal, the Academic Tutor delivers evidence-based small-group instruction, monitors student progress, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with teachers and school staff to accelerate student achievement. Tutoring services supplement, but do not replace, core classroom instruction and are aligned to district curriculum, assessments, and instructional priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Academic Tutor will: ? Deliver engaging, high-quality small-group tutoring aligned to district curriculum and instructional priorities. ? Plan lessons that address identified student learning needs and accelerate academic growth. ? Implement evidence-based instructional practices in reading and/or mathematics. ? Progress monitor students using district-approved assessments and intervention tools. ? Maintain accurate attendance, progress monitoring, and student data records. ? Update student information and intervention documentation in BeyondSST and/or Infinite Campus. ? Participate in Tier II meetings and provide recommendations regarding student placement, intervention adjustments, and program exit based on student data. ? Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, intervention teams, and administrators to support student success. ? Communicate student progress with school staff and assist with family communication as directed. ?
