Job Summary

Live Oak School District is seeking a qualified and dynamic candidate to support student behavior needs. Candidates may qualify for the position under one of the following classifications: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) School Psychologist Education Specialist/Resource Specialist Teacher A successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavior, strengthen students’ self-regulation skills, and support successful participation in educational settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing positive behavior-support strategies Providing lesson planning, demonstration, coaching, and modeling Providing behavior-related training, consultation, and ongoing support to staff Applying principles and practices of applied behavior analysis Conducting functional behavior assessments Developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior intervention plans Consulting with classroom teachers and other instructional staff Coordinating and supporting the work of behavior support aides Supporting student transitions to nonpublic agencies, specialized programs, and other appropriate placements or services Collaborating with families, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Maintaining required documentation and monitoring student progress Candidates must meet the education, credential, certification, licensure, and experience requirements applicable to the classification under which they are applying.
