Job Summary

The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) – Instructional Coach supports classroom teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies, integrating technology, and using student achievement data to enhance student learning. The position provides instructional coaching, modeling, co-planning, professional development, and technology integration support to certificated and classified staff. The TOSA also supports district and state assessment activities and collaborates with staff across school sites to promote instructional improvement and student achievement. Work hours will be in accordance with the teacher contract. The daily schedule may vary based on assignment and site needs, including elementary and high school sites throughout the District.

Requirements / Qualifications

-Valid California Teaching Credential -Minimum 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience in a technology-rich learning environment -Experience teaching key content-area curriculum -Experience with Mac and Windows computers -Experience providing professional development to adult learners -Strong leadership and communication skills -Valid California Driver's License
