This position will serve student(s) who attend the Monarch Academy at Woodland Elementary by assisting them on the bus in the morning and afternoon routes. Under general supervision, to assist drivers in supervising special education students who have severe physical impairments that require specialized health care services such as catheterization, gavaging feeding, suctioning, or other services that require medical or highly specialized training while being transported to Special Education classes and or facilities; and do related work as required and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade. * Valid current California Driver’s License. * Some positions within the classification may require other specific experience to assist in knowledge and/or skill acquisition. * Valid first aid and CPR card or certificate * CPI Training, Behavioral Support Training preferred Desirable: * Previous experience interacting with student with special needs in a public school setting. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule. (Range 15) PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE POSITIONS ARE FOR AM AND PM BUS ROUTES WHICH IS A SPLIT SHIFT. The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school.
Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities.
