Job Summary

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) is seeking a talented and passionate Mural Artist as a coach to collaborate with our Visual Arts Instructors working with high school students in designing, planning, and implementing a mural project as part of our visual arts curriculum. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with teens, have a collaborative and open-minded approach, and be committed to fostering an atmosphere of creativity and expression that celebrates diversity of East Side. This is a fantastic opportunity for an artist who is passionate about making an impact in the community and inspiring the next generation of muralists.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications/Certifications: • Proven experience as a mural artist, with a portfolio that showcases completed mural projects •Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work alongside Visual Arts Instructors to enhance curriculum and student engagement • Ability to guide students through the creative process, from concept development and design to planning, surface preparation, and installation • Knowledge of safety practices, appropriate materials, and maintenance considerations for outdoor and indoor mural projects •Experience working with youth, especially teenagers, preferred

Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.
