Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist instructors in the care, supervision and learning activities for infant, toddler, preschool and/or school age children in the classroom and on the playground. THIS IS AN ON-CALL, AS NEEDED POSITION. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE AT LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or high school equivalency and previous experience working with pre-school or school age children and Completion of 6 semester units in child development or completion of at least 2 semester units or equivalent quarter units and continuation in an education program until six units have been completed. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of District-administered State-mandated proficiency examination. In accordance with the new law and as a requirement for employment in the Children's Center Programs, documentation of immunizations must be submitted at time of employment. *other compliance options available. Successful completion of the State-mandated proficiency examination. Incomplete applications will not be considered. This includes for current employees. Resumes will not be considered in lieu of the Application for Classified Employment. Proof of graduation from high school, GED or college degree. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
