Comments and Other Information
Role:
-Provide support to students with IEPs to ensure students with diverse learning needs can safely access and participate in After School Program learning experiences and enrichment activities
-Support with guiding and aiding Expanded Learning staff and severe paraprofessionals supporting students with IEPs
-Modeling supports to Expanded Learning staff and severe paras for students to participate in activities
-Support with integrating supports such as accommodations and BIPs
-Consult with various staff to support student needs
-Support with guiding and aiding Expanded Learning staff with interpreting and reviewing students’ IEPs
-Manage list and supports for students with IEPs
-This is an itinerant position and requires travel across multiple sites supporting any special education students across ELOP as needed
-Communicate and collaborate with ELOP, BCBAs, ELOP staff, school staff, IEP team, administration, families, etc. to help create consistency across structured and unstructured environments
-Participate in IEPs scheduled by the student’s EIP team if ELOP-specific supports needed to be discussed
-Provide support if needed with deescalating student situations
