Job Summary

Job Summary

The job of Wellness Coach is done for the purpose(s) of providing non-clinical behavioral health services to support the well-being of students and families in Student Programs and Services. These services are provided at all tiers of MTSS and include individual support, group support, wellness promotion and education, crisis referral, screening, care coordination, and related services. The Wellness Coach will work under the direction of a Licensed Professional (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC) or PPS credentialed personnel. *This is a grant-based position, and employment in this position is subject to the availability of grant funding.*

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 150 hours of successful experience working with adolescents in a private setting, school setting, county, or other community-based organization providing non-clinical behavioral health services, social work, child welfare, and/or addiction and substance use. REQUIRED EDUCATION: An Associate’s degree or higher in social work, health and human services, addiction studies, psychology, sociology, or a related field. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: *Preferred Certified Wellness Coach certification through the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) *Requires use of personal automobile and possession of a valid California Driver's License upon hire. Must maintain possession of such license during the course of employment; have an acceptable driving record, and must be insurable at standard rates by the district's insurance carrier and maintain such insurability
