Job Summary
Provides student supervision both in the classroom and on school grounds in accordance with established regulations and procedures; Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts; Provides assistance in the preparation of materials for instruction; Presents subject matter to students, utilizing a variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussions, and supervised role playing; Prepares, administers, and grades examinations; In assignment requiring bilingual competency may be called upon to provide translation both oral and written; Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts; May be called upon to attend meetings with parents or other school personnel; Attends in-service and training as assigned; Prepares other job description related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED Associate’s degree or Paraprofessional Certificate or 48 college units One (1) year experience working with children
