Job Summary
The job of Skilled Maintenance Worker is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for providing a variety of skilled facility services in construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of facilities and buildings; working primarily in several areas of specialization (e.g., electrical, plumbing, locksmith, painting, roofing, masonry, general carpentry), and is fully qualified and capable of performing journeyman level work; and assisting others in their specialty. This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The Skilled Maintenance Worker is a is a multi-skilled crafts person, requiring journey level experience in at least one area of specialization and general competency in additional related areas. Advancement to this level is possible from Maintenance Worker or position of equivalent skill based on need.
