Job Summary
Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Manager, prepare, cooks and serve food in quantity for multiple choice menus, following standardized recipes and menu planning work sheets as required by the school nutrition programs; prepares and cooks main dishes, salads, fruit and vegetables; assembles salad bar ingredients for meals to be distributed at school site or transported to serving sites; maintain the kitchen, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition; inventory supplies and food in stock, assist with the orders of food and supplies.

• Food Handler Certificate/Health Card • Resume • Cover Letter • 2 Letters of Recommendation (within 1 year) • ServSAfe Certificate • Knowledge of methods of preparing and serving large quantities of food • Experience in preparing large quantities of food in school cafeteria setting and/or the private sector • Ability to communicate in English • Ability to read food labels, preparation procedures, & safety guidelines in English • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
