The Adult School EKG Instructor provides instruction, training, and hands-on guidance to students in electrocardiography. The instructor teaches cardiac anatomy, EKG procedures, rhythm interpretation, equipment operation, patient safety, and clinical standards while preparing students for national certification and entry into the healthcare workforce. Requirements / Qualifications
CREDENTIAL: • A valid Adult Education Teaching Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology OR • Three or more years of specialized job experience as an electrocardiogram technician or telemetry technician and one active certification required: Certified EKG Technician (CET) via NHA; National Certified EKG Technician (NCET) via NCCT; Certified Cardio Graphic Technician (CCT) via CCI. Active RN, LPN/LVN, Paramedic, or Physician Assistant license with strong cardiac care experience may substitute for technician-level certification.
