Job Summary
The Bus Driver/Maintenance Worker is responsible for safely transporting students while supporting the cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep of school facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. Duties include operating school buses on scheduled routes and field trips, maintaining required transportation and driver records, performing routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning, and providing first aid and maintaining student discipline when necessary. Maintenance responsibilities include general facility and grounds upkeep, minor repairs, painting, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, equipment care, trash removal, and maintaining clean and organized storage and work areas. The position also performs other transportation and maintenance duties as assigned and follows site safety procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Driver’s License Requirement: Applicants are not required to possess a California DMV Class B Commercial Driver’s License at the time of application. The license must be obtained during the 2026–2027 school year. Winship-Robbins Elementary School District will provide the required training and support to obtain the license.
