Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications: * High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children * Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus, and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.

The aide will work with a student in instructional practices, curriculum, outside activities, physical education, electives, and recess. Candidate must be patient, kind, friendly, observant, able to keep good documentation, and collaborate with teachers and parents. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities.
