Job Summary

The Part-Time Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate physical education program for students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 8. The ideal candidate fosters a positive, inclusive environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, and character development while supporting the mission and values of the private school. Essential Responsibilities - Plan and teach engaging PE lessons aligned with age-appropriate physical education standards and school expectations. - Develop students' motor skills, physical fitness, coordination, and knowledge of healthy lifestyles. - Differentiate instruction to meet the needs and abilities of students from TK through Grade 8. - Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging environment where all students can participate and succeed. - Teach teamwork, cooperation, respect, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. - Organize and supervise games, fitness activities, skill development, and recreational sports. - Maintain equipment, gymnasium, fields, and storage areas in a safe and organized condition. - Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and respond appropriately to injuries or emergencies. - Assess student participation and progress, providing feedback and reports as required by the school. - Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development. - Assist with school events, field days, athletic activities, and other special programs as assigned. - Maintain professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues while modeling Christian values and ethical behavior (if applicable to the school's mission).
