Job Summary
The Substitute Campus Supervisor assists in maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive school environment in the absence of the regular campus supervisor. This position involves supervising students during school hours, including breaks, lunch periods, and transitions between classes. The Substitute Campus Supervisor ensures compliance with school policies and promotes positive student behavior. Key Responsibilities: -Supervise students in designated areas such as hallways, restrooms, lunchrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces to ensure a safe and orderly environment. -Monitor student behavior and intervene in cases of misconduct or violations of school rules. -Enforce school policies, including dress code, behavior expectations, and safety procedures. -Assist in the safe and efficient movement of students during class transitions, ensuring students arrive at class promptly. -Monitor entrances and exits of the campus to ensure the security of the school grounds. -Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the campus and report any security concerns or suspicious activity. -Assist with crowd control during school events, assemblies, and emergency drills. -Interact with students in a positive and respectful manner, serving as a role model for appropriate behavior. -Report any incidents, conflicts, or concerns to school administration, including completing written reports when necessary. -Support in maintaining a clean and orderly campus environment by addressing minor safety concerns (e.g., spills, blocked walkways). -Collaborate with school staff, security personnel, and administrators to maintain a safe and supportive campus atmosphere. -Provide assistance to students in need, including conflict mediation, and direct them to appropriate school resources. -Perform additional duties related to campus supervision as assigned by school administration.

Skills and Qualifications: -Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents. -Ability to maintain composure and handle conflicts or emergencies in a calm and professional manner. -Familiarity with school safety protocols and ability to respond appropriately to emergencies. -Basic understanding of adolescent behavior and conflict resolution strategies. -Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring campus areas. -Knowledge of school policies and regulations, or the ability to learn quickly. -Experience working with high school students or in an educational setting is an asset. Education and Experience: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Previous experience in campus supervision, security, or working with high school students is preferred.
