Golden Eagle Charter School is seeking a dependable Instructional Aide to support high school students in our Mt. Shasta program. This position works directly with students in a classroom setting, providing academic support in small groups or one-on-one and assisting teachers with classroom instruction. The Mt. Shasta program serves a diverse group of learners, including students with disabilities who may benefit from additional academic support and guidance. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, and comfortable working with adolescents in a structured learning environment. Responsibilities: Provide academic support to students in small groups or one-on-one, primarily in reading and math. Assist teachers with classroom instruction and student engagement. Help reinforce classroom expectations and support positive student behavior. Supervise students during lunch and break periods. Support teachers with basic student support tasks as needed. Qualifications: Experience working with high school students preferred. Experience supporting students with disabilities highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic technology skills (Google Suite or similar tools). Reliable transportation to the Mt. Shasta campus. AA/AS degree or higher required. Candidates must be at least 25 years old to drive school vehicles. Schedule: Monday–Thursday. 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM. On-site at the Golden Eagle Charter School Mt. Shasta campus. Golden Eagle Charter School operates a flex-based learning model serving students across Siskiyou County. Professional Growth Opportunities: Golden Eagle Charter School supports staff in pursuing careers in education. GECS offers paraprofessionals opportunities to obtain a BA in Global Education through Reach University. Students that qualify only pay approximately $75 per month to complete the degree. Opportunities for staff who earn a BA to work as a teacher intern while completing a teaching creden
