Requirements / Qualifications
This job requires a Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing at the level of Associate Teacher, or higher (see information below). If you do not hold such a permit, you must demonstrate that you qualify in your application. Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation from the following list: OPTION #1 - Attach a copy of your Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing that includes the document number - not the item that looks like a diploma - demonstrating you meet this requirement. OPTION #2 - If you do not hold such a permit, you must demonstrate that you qualify for the permit by attaching the following: • OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of (2) two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).*** Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts must prove completion of 12 units ECE/Child Development courses including core courses. (***If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalent to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.) AND • Proof of completion of at least 50 days’ experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program, working at least 3 hours per day within the last 2 years.
