Job Summary

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) is seeking a skilled and passionate Photography Coach that enhances student learning by bringing professional expertise and diverse creative perspectives into the high school Visual Arts program. This position extends instruction beyond the classroom teacher’s expertise by engaging students with a working professional in photography and visual media. Through workshops, demonstrations, and collaborative projects, the Photography Coach provides students with access to specialized technical skills, real-world applications, and authentic artistic experiences that promote equity, cultural inclusion, and deeper artistic understanding. In addition, the Photography Coach introduces students to professional industry standards, helping them develop the practical knowledge and self-marketing skills necessary to succeed in today’s competitive creative industries.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications/Certifications: • Professional photographer or visual artist with demonstrated expertise in the photographic arts • Strong understanding of current trends, technologies, and professional standards in photography and visual communication • Ability to teach career-readiness skills such as portfolio development, self-promotion, networking, and entrepreneurship • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Experience working with youth, especially teenagers, preferred

Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.
