Job Summary

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) is seeking a skilled and passionate Crafts Coach to collaborate with the Visual Arts Instructor in supporting and enhancing classroom instruction. This role assists students in developing hands-on skills across a wide range of craft disciplines, including fiber arts, assemblage, leather-working, pottery, sculpting, wire working, woodworking, screen printing, and related practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications/Certifications: • Working knowledge of one or more craft disciplines such as fiber arts, ceramics, sculpture, woodworking, metalwork, leather-working, screen printing, or mixed media. • Familiarity with a variety of tools, materials, and processes used in both traditional and contemporary craft practices. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. • Organizational skills to effectively manage tools, materials, and shared studio resources. • Ability to model safe studio practices and maintain a structured learning environment. • Experience working with high school students preferred, particularly with multilingual learners or at-risk youth.

Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.
