The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Music Teacher assigned to support Farb Middle School. This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Farb Middle School 4880 La Cuenta Dr, S.D., CA 92124 Scheduled hours: M/T/W 10:30am - 3:00pm, Thursday 10:00am - 3:00pm and Friday 10:30am - 2:30pm Farb Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to teach 6th grade Beginning Band, 7th and 8th grade Advanced Band and Muscial Theater. Farb is a small Title 1 Middle School where 80% of the student population has a parent serving in the Military.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an Authorization in Band or Musical Theater/Choir, or a Single Subject in Band or Musical Theater/Choir by the closing date of the application deadline.

This part-time position includes District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
A stipend of $4,400 for the year is given for band/musical theater events that happen outside the school day; Middle School Band Night and Band Concert at the High school in December, Marching in the Tierrasana Parade in May, and Band Disneyland experience fieldtrip.
