Job Summary

Job Summary

WASCAE is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician Instructor to teach adult students in our CTE program. The instructor will prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and professional standards required for employment in retail and hospital pharmacies, and for success on the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). This is a part-time/hourly teaching assignment, typically evenings and/or weekends, depending on enrollment and program needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

? Bachelor’s Degree with a State approved Teacher Preparation Component: ? Current Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy; OR ? Registered Pharmacist (RPh/PharmD) in good standing with the State of California. ? Minimum of 5 years of recent work experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist. ? Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and pharmacology. ? Ability to effectively teach adult learners with diverse backgrounds. ? Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Licenses/Certificates ? Valid California Pharmacy Technician License or Pharmacist license. ? Valid California Driver’s License (may be required for travel between sites). ? Teaching credential (Designated Subjects Adult Education or Career Technical Education).
