Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Support Services, the Director, District & School Support (Prevention and Wellness) plans, organizes, implements, evaluates and improves comprehensive systems and programs for student engagement, school climate, student behavioral health and wellness. The Director integrates inclusive practices, prevention programming and evidence based interventions to support all students through frameworks including Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Restorative Justice. Director serves as a core member of the SLOCOE’s District and School Support team providing Universal and Targeted support.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in education, social work, public administration, or a closely related field is required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative or management experience at the site, district, or county level. Demonstrated successful experience must include the development, monitoring, and evaluation of multi-tiered student support, wellness, or prevention/intervention programs, alongside at least two (2) years of personnel supervision. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Administrative Services Credential. Valid California Teaching Credential OR Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential. Valid California Class C Driver’s License and proof of personal vehicle insurability.
