Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. Evidence of qualifications may include: Associate degree and/or graduation from Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate program; or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication disorders; and Successful completion of a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent and Demonstration of competency in the skills required of an SLPA.
Valid California driver’s license Own reliable transportation and verification of insurance coverage (mileage reimbursable)

Works under the direction and supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist, completes a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to activities designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant works with students who have identified speech and language disorders as well as other disabilities.
