Requirements / Qualifications

The Vacancy: There is one 8 hours a day, full-time, 12-month, permanent open position at the Adult school site. This recruitment will be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies, substitute, and temporary positions in this classification for up to six months. The Position: Under direction, to perform difficult and complex record-keeping involved in the recording and maintenance of adult school attendance and payroll accounting; to perform a wide variety of technical and clerical duties related to the adult school program; and to do related work as required.

Required Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledges and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledges and abilities would be; three years of increasingly responsible experience in financial or statistical record-keeping work, preferably including experience in school attendance, payroll and accounting practices and the ability to type at a rate of a minimum of 40 words net words per minute. Selection Procedure: The selection process will consist of a written exam and a qualifications appraisal interview (each weighted 50%). The following must be submitted with the application:

  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three, no older than a year, signed and dated)
  • Resume
  • Typing Certificate (40 Net WPM no older than a year)
