The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. Job Summary

Job Summary

The Orange County Department of Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Specialist, Educational Services to strengthen and expand educational opportunities through professional learning, curriculum development, and program implementation support. This role will focus on Career Technical Education (CTE), CTE teacher credentialing, and career readiness/workforce development initiatives within Career Education, partnering with local districts and industry to prepare students for success in both college and career. As Program Specialist, you will help shape program goals, support curriculum pilots, facilitate network meetings, and collaborate with schools, industry partners, community organizations, and public agencies to deliver high-quality, impactful services. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a strong background in curriculum and instruction, educational programming, and supporting career-focused initiatives. You will provide direct support to management, ensure compliance with program guidelines and oversee reporting requirements. If you excel in communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building with districts and industry partners, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a lasting difference for students, educators, and communities across the county. Requirements / Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education or a related field. Experience: Three (3) years of educational experience in educational program or an equivalent combination of training and experience. K-12 teaching experience preferred. Credential: A valid California teaching or service credential appropriate to the assignment.
