Job Summary

The Rancho Cielo Construction Academy is a partnership between John Muir Charter Schools (JMCS) and Rancho Cielo Youth Campus designed to provide at-risk youth with an opportunity to gain classroom training, work experience and transferrable skills that help them become employable in the welding industry. This position is responsible for the CTE instruction of welding participants, successful operation of all tools and facilities, for working cooperatively with the Rancho Cielo Director of CTE, and working cooperatively with the JMCS Academic Teacher (JMCS) to ensure diplomas are awarded. The Welding Instructor receives support and supervision from the JMCS Regional Director, JMCS Regional Deputy Director, and the Rancho Cielo Director of CTE Programs.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in any field and four years of experience or an Associate’s degree and six years of experience At least 6 years of experience working in the welding industry. Bilingual – Spanish/English beneficial Current California CTE Credential and with English Learner Authorization or current eligibility for an intern credential
