Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Technology and Instruction Services and Support, the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities/Local Education Agency Supervisor (MAA/LEA) oversees the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities and the Local Education Agency Medi-Cal Billing Option Programs; provides training and technical support to District personnel regarding MAA/LEA technical, fiscal, and reporting requirements and processes; performs reconciliation, auditing, and reporting of data; and maintains knowledge of current legislation related to MAA/LEA to ensure compliance and represent the District as an active member of federal, state, and county MAA/LEA-related organizations and agencies.

VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: •Any combination of education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required include: leadership, planning, setting agendas, and coordinating/conducting meetings and trainings. •Evidence of recent successful experience working with financial or statistical records and systems. •Ability to maintain the security of sensitive, confidential, and privileged information; plan and conduct clerical operations involving transactions requiring accountability and accurate controls; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; and communicate and interact effectively and professionally under pressure with staff, public, and external agencies personnel. •Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: pertinent federal, state and local laws and regulations; budget preparation; business telephone etiquette; and knowledge of legislation specific to the California School-Based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities Program, the LEA Direct Billing Option Program, applicable sections of the state Education Code, and other applicable laws. •Ability to organize a significant number of activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, analyze, collate and/or classify data. Flexibility to work independently and with a diversity of individuals and/or groups. Independent problem-solving abilities, and develop and implement relevant training programs.
