Requirements / Qualifications

The District is currently accepting applications for a TEMPORARY/ON-CALL DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director, Technology, and working with Site Technology Support Technicians, site and department staff, prioritize, schedule, track, document, and perform technical services including end-user support, help-desk, documentation, system administration, device imaging, e-mail, video, and vendor relations. Work with technology administration to assure all technologies integrate effectively with local and wide area networks and use management systems and utilities to deploy, configure and support end-user devices. Provide support and maintenance to a wide range of educational technology. Work with Site Technology Support Technicians to support learning and technology implementation at the school sites by providing coaching, formal trainings, and technical expertise. Work with district staff to expedite resolution of technical needs/issues that pertain to departments and school sites. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college level coursework in computer science, information technology or related field and three years’ experience in network maintenance and electronics, i.e. switch, router, Ethernet, fiber, copper, etc.; server and workstation installation, configuration, and management; designing implementing and operating training programs; technical support in decentralized and diverse computer environment; database implementation and administration; and recent experience in network and computer support related to current releases of Google, Microsoft and Apple software. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver’s license. A+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are strongly preferred. TO BE CONSIDERED THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED: Resume
