Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Program Director and the Clinical Supervisor, the Rehabilitation Specialist assists the teaching and school-based mental health staff in maintaining a therapeutic education environment, including implementing curriculum and behavior management.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Rehabilitation Specialist I: • Completion of college courses in behavioral or social service area; coursework in addiction, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field. • Previous work experience in providing case management services is highly desirable. • Additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted. Rehabilitation Specialist II: • Hold an Associates Degree with two years of experience in a related field - or • Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in an approved, related field of study - or • Has completed at least six years of experience providing mental health services in a School linked/based organization, Non-Profit, Community mental health, or Clinic/Health Center setting - or • Has completed as least six years of experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist I with the Lake County Office of Education. • Previous work experience in providing case management services is highly desirable.
