Under the supervision of the Executive Director, teachers will: provide instruction, encourage student progress, and manage the learning environment; Inspire, motivate and bring teaching to life!; deliver meaningful and differentiated instructional content that is aligned with the Common Core State Standards; utilize a course of study approved by the University of California; maintain a classroom culture that is conducive to positive student-teacher and teacher-family relationships; consistently engage parents via multiple communication strategies; promote an environment which values students’ ideas, interests and talents; leverage formative assessments to assist students in creating short-term and long-term academic goals; and serve as a model, advocate, and coach-- inspiring students toward their college and career goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements: Valid California teaching credential in History/Social Science CLAD or BCLAD certification Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in any subject with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject content area
Required Documents: The submission of at least one document from each of the following groups is required for this position: Letter of Introduction Resume Credential Copy Letters of Recommendation (three minimum)
