Job Summary

Job Summary

The Community Coordinator supports the school's mission by leading community outreach, community connection, and community-based educational activities that build strong ties between the school, its families, and the broader community. This role works both internally and externally to create a welcoming, connected school community and to extend the school's reach through outreach, partnerships, and community-based learning opportunities. Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, the Community Coordinator designs and implements community outreach strategies, plans and facilitates community-based educational events and activities, and serves as a primary point of contact between families and the school. The role collaborates with internal teams to align community efforts with the school's instructional priorities and program goals, and works directly with families and external partners to support student participation and learning. The position requires regular travel to support community activities across assigned regions. The Community Coordinator manages multiple priorities, exercises independent judgment in planning and implementing community outreach and community-based educational efforts, and operates in alignment with the organization's Guiding Principles.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: - Application - Current Resume - Letter of Interest - Copy of Transcript - Credential Copy (Proof of a valid Teaching Credential is required.) To be considered for hire, candidates must meet the minimum requirements including a successful interview and successful reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Tuberculosis (TB) tests every four years; and passing the relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) background review. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Bachelor’s degree. - Credentials/Certifications: Valid California teaching credential required. - Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of teaching or related experience
