Job Summary: The job of "RSP Instructional Aide" is done for the purpose/s of assisting (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of students, and relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks. Essential Job Functions: • Monitors individual students, classroom and/or playground activities for the purpose of providing a safe environment. • Assists teachers and parents for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and general requirements of teaching i.e. setting up schedules, meetings, etc. • Assists the regular education teachers to help students meet their IEP goals. • Assists in the scheduling of IEP meetings. • Attends RSP meetings as needed. • Performs record keeping e.g. recording test results, basic clerical functions, copying tests, handouts, etc. for the purpose of supporting the teacher in maintaining students’ files and providing classroom materials. • Prepares, distributes, and files paperwork associated with IEP’s. • Provides one-on-one “Standards Based” instruction to students. • Assists students in meeting their IEP goals in their regular classes. • Maintains classroom equipment, student’s files, records, etc. for the purpose of ensuring safe and appropriate learning environment. • Keeps records of student progress. Other Job Functions: • Administers tests for the purpose of assisting teacher. • Participates in various meetings for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information. • Cares for the physical needs of students, including toileting, as necessary
