Job Summary
The position of Accounting Analyst is done for the purpose(s) of preforming complex and technical accounting functions in the preparation, processing, distribution, maintenance and verification of payroll, employee attendance, time reporting, and related records and reports for certificated and classified employees; recording, updating and reconciling financial information; and providing instructions and/or accounting support to other personnel in accordance with established practices. This position is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The Accounting Analyst is the intermediate position in the Financial Support series. Incumbents in this position perform moderately complex accounting duties. The Accounting Assistant is the entry level position in the Financial Support series. Incumbents in this position perform routine duties associated in the series. The Accounting Specialist is the advanced position in the Financial Support series. Incumbents in this position perform complex accounting technician duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma plus college-level curriculum in bookkeeping or business practices and 2 years' experience in a production oriented record keeping, cashiering, or general clerical capacity. Additional experience may substitute for higher education.
The district is located along Interstate 8, in the southeastern mountains of San Diego County, approximately 50 miles east of the city of San Diego.
