Looking for a nurturing and dedicated educator who builds a strong academic and social-emotional foundation for young learners. Through developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction, the teacher supports students in becoming confident readers, writers, mathematicians, and critical thinkers. Working closely with grade-level teammates, specialists, and school leadership, the teacher designs engaging lessons that foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. PVUESD teachers embrace diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds, creating inclusive classrooms where every child is known, valued, and supported. The ideal candidate brings warmth, patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of early childhood development to help all students thrive academically and socially.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or PK–3 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing service in a self-contained TK classroom; and For TK assignment, the applicant must meet applicable California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements for teaching Transitional Kindergarten, including one of the following: Completion of 24 semester units of coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or Child Development (CD); A bachelor’s degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field; A Child Development Teacher Permit or higher-level Child Development Permit; or Other qualifying preparation or experience recognized by the CTC. English Learner Authorization

The benefit package includes coverage for health, vision, dental, and life insurance with tiered district contribution based on enrollment ($8,500-$12,040 annually), district-paid disability and life insurance, and district contribution to the State pension system, CalSTRS.
Up to ten days of paid sick leave are provided. This position is covered by a collective bargaining unit.
