Mission Statement: “Our vision is to prepare all students to meet life’s challenges and to be ethical and productive members of society. By learning to use critical thinking, divergent thinking, and problem-solving skills, our students will be able to meet the demands of an ever-changing global society and the competitive job market.” Pleasant View Elementary educators look to meet learner needs in a variety of ways. We differentiate instruction, focus on Learner strengths, infuse technology in meaningful ways, and collaborate with each other to be the best we can be. This is not a traditional school setting; we are in the process of building a professional practice and expect teachers to work and plan, and, in some cases, co-teach. We are building a very reflective practice for our staff and system. We are excited about the growth we are seeing in our students and staff, and it's exciting to see students take ownership over their learning. It is the collective responsibility of our school community to ensure the highest quality of learning experience for all students, with a focus on student engagement, life-long learning, and development. Non-Discrimination Statement Pleasant View Elementary School District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying in educational programs, activities, or employment on the basis of actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, parental, pregnancy, family or marital status, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. Pleasant View Elementary School District requires that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene, when safe to do so, when they witness an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
