DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Superintendent, provide oversight and accountability for the Human Resources Department. Plan, organize, control, and direct functions of human resources and labor relations, including but not limited to, negotiations, collective bargain agreements, salary placement, job assignments, labor relations, credential compliance, performance evaluations, current laws and regulations, and formal complaints; build capacity among staff; recruit, prepare, sustain, and challenge all leaders to achieve higher levels of individual performance and effectiveness in leading others; effectively communicate with district leaders to provide constructive feedback to improve their effectiveness as they develop new leadership skills. Serve on the Superintendent’s cabinet and serve as Title IX Officer
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Clear California Administrative Services Credential • Minimum of five years of supervisory, personnel administration, public administration, or other administrative and supervisory related activities. • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in educational leadership or related field of study. • Experience as a school principal (preferred) with five years teaching experience (preferred) • Training in Labor & Contract law or related legal training or experience • Desire for second language proficiency in Spanish or other language to match community needs. • Excellent communication skills and evidence of effective interaction with community, staff, parents and students. • Demonstrated achievement as an educational leader with vision and strong interpersonal skills, including specific evidence of student academic improvement in a school setting as a result of the candidate’s leadership • Certificate from ACSA Personnel Training Academy or willingness to attend ACSA Personnel Training Academy • SHRM or SPHR Professional certification a plus
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States • Must provide proof of automobile insurance • Fingerprint and Background clearance • Valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance

Salary: $155,533 - $204,670 annually (220 Work Days) Per Certificated Management Salary Schedule
Additional Salary Information:
In addition to salary, the district makes an annual contribution of $18,264.60 (emp only medical, dental, and vision) - $48,862.92 (emp + family medical, dental, and vision) for a combined salary range of $173,797.60 - $253,532
