Job Summary
Under direction, promote and develop successful learning for students in all PreK-8 Theatre (Drama) Performing Arts classes. Plan, develop, organize, and assist in the operation of a comprehensive Performing Arts educational program for students. Perform instructional and related duties as they pertain to the state standards in Theatre and Performing Arts education. Perform other related functions as required. Design, plan, and execute; in collaboration with Performing Arts Department Teachers, school-wide performances throughout the school year. Perform a variety of complex and responsible duties in providing information and assistance to students, staff, parents, and the public by using RHLS systems and processes. Initiate, create, and maintain printed and electronic communication systems to support all RHLS activities (including social media). Teach Theatre/Drama/Performing Arts to: • Partner with Classroom Music and Instrumental Music teachers as needed. • Pre-K and TK - Assist the Preschool Director and Staff as requested in researching and preparing programs. Act as a resource and reference, not lead or direct programs. • Kindergarten – Fourth Grades - 40 minutes each class once a week • Fifth Grade - 50 minutes each class once a week • Middle School (6th – 8th Grade) – 70 min. Elective Drama course Chapel - Once a Week, Every Wednesday 8:00-9:30am • Under supervision, assist classroom teachers in design and delivery of individual class chapel presentations and rehearsals. Spirit Squad / Dance & Cheer Team (1st - 3rd) - Once a week: Extra-Curricular After School Enrichment, 3:15-4:15 pm Spirit Squad / Captain Leadership Dance & Cheer Team (4th – 5th) - Once a week: Extra-Curricular After School Enrichment, 3:15-4:15 pm Musical Theatre or other specialized class - Once a week: Extra-Curricular After School Enrichment, 3:15-4:15 pm Performance Expectations: • Coordinate special facility request needs for programs.
