Welcome to Pathways to College K8! MISSION The mission of Pathways to College K8 is to prepare students for the challenge of higher education learning and to provide meaningful, stimulating and educational opportunities to academically grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision, Youth Mentors work directly with an assigned class of approximately 20-25 students, acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Youth Mentors must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. Ensuring that Pathways to College K8 students reach their potential takes a tremendous amount of hard work, flexibility, and commitment. Youth Mentors receive ongoing training and coaching support to continuously strengthen their capacity to engage students in after-school learning and enrichment.

Education Qualifications Required: > Completion of an Associate's Degree OR > At least 48 College Units OR > Passing Score on our General Knowledge Test
