Athletic Event Attendant/ Kingsburg Joint Union High School District Position Summary: The Ticket Taker serves as the first point of contact for spectators attending high school athletic events. This position is responsible for providing friendly customer service while collecting admission fees, issuing tickets, and helping ensure a positive experience for guests. Essential Duties: Greet spectators in a friendly and professional manner. Collect admission fees accurately. Issue tickets or verify electronic tickets. Maintain an accurate count of tickets sold and money collected. Balance cash and complete required documentation at the end of the shift. Answer basic questions and direct guests as needed. Follow District procedures for handling cash and admissions. Work cooperatively with administrators, coaches, and event staff. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. Qualifications Friendly, courteous, and customer-service oriented. Honest, dependable, and trustworthy. Comfortable handling cash and making simple transactions. Ability to interact respectfully with students, families, and the public. Must be punctual and reliable. High school diploma or equivalent from 2025 and prior (2024, 23, 22, etc) Working Conditions: Approximately 4-hour shifts during high school athletic events. Work is primarily in the late afternoon and evening, including occasional weekends. Position requires standing for extended periods and working outdoors or indoors depending on the event and weather conditions.
