Cold Spring School, a TK-6 school located in Santa Barbara, California, is currently accepting applications for a full-time experienced elementary school music teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: INSTRUCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES --Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs. --Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including individualized and small-group instruction, to differentiate learning. --Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance student learning. --Utilize data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly. --Implement and adhere to district curricula, programs, and educational philosophies with fidelity. --Leverage professional AI tools to enhance lesson planning, personalize student learning, and support classroom engagement. CLASSROOM & STUDENT MANAGEMENT --Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. --Implement classroom management strategies that promote student responsibility and mutual respect. --Maintain high behavioral expectations and consistently enforce school policies and procedures. --Develop and implement individualized student support plans, including IEPs, 504 plans, and behavior intervention plans, as needed. ASSESSMENT & STUDENT GROWTH --Regularly assess student progress through formal and informal assessments and maintain accurate records. --Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. --Participate in state and district assessments and use results to inform instruction. COLLABORATION & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH --Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration to develop and refine curriculum and instructional practices. --Participate in staff meetings, professional level
