Job Summary
Under the direction of the ELOP Coordinator, and/or assigned supervisor, the ELOP After School Program Aide will manage an after school program classroom and perform necessary duties of a responsible nature to assist in the supervision of students within assigned areas and other general duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
Tentative Schedule: 181 days/year; Regular School Day Shift: 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm (4 hrs), Minimum Day Shift: 12:30pm - 5:30pm (5hrs). Education: Must have an AA, 48 units of college credits, or pass the Paraprofessional Certification Assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics. Certification: Possession of a valid First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate may be required based on job duties such as coaching, working with fragile students, or as otherwise required by Superintendent or designee. Experience: Experience working with school age children preferred. Training: Ongoing training (e.g. Mandated Reporter, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, suicide prevention, etc.) as required by federal or state law, board policy and/or as directed by the Superintendent. Ability to obtain or possession of a valid First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate required based on job duties. Submit and clear a pre-employment drug screening and DOJ/FBI background screening. Proof of freedom from active tuberculosis at time of employment and every (4) four years thereafter.
