Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and engaging Enrichment Instructors to lead dynamic, hands-on classes for 7th and 8th grade students in a variety of subjects including STEM, math, science, art, music, and other creative disciplines. These classes are designed to spark curiosity, expand learning beyond the standard curriculum, and inspire students through meaningful, project-based learning. This is a great opportunity for individuals with specialized knowledge or teaching experience who enjoy working with middle school students in a fun and flexible environment. Teaching credentials are not required, this is a classified position. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans for 1-hour enrichment classes in your subject area. Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction. Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate and collaborate with the supervising teacher regarding curriculum, scheduling, and student needs as necessary. Manage classroom behavior effectively and support student participation and learning. Prepare materials and resources necessary for instruction. Monitor student progress and adjust lessons as needed to ensure understanding and engagement. Qualifications: Passion for working with middle school students and inspiring a love of learning. Subject matter expertise in one or more areas (e.g., STEM, math, science, art, music, creative writing, etc.). Prior teaching, tutoring, coaching, or youth leadership experience preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. No teaching credential required. Classes are on Thursdays, one hour each, potential for up to three classes. This position can be combined with the Instructional Aide position.
