Compensation and Benefits: Eligible candidates may receive 3.0% Master’s Degree stipend; 2.0% Doctorate stipend. Allowances for car and telephone may be provided. This is a 221-day work year position. Benefits include full family medical, dental and vision coverage, 12 days of annual paid sick leave, life insurance, long-term disability and allowance for Professional Dues. Retirement benefits are accrued through the Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS). Employees are required to pay their portion of the retirement plan. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM THE DEPARTMENT: Below are the requirements and qualifications we are seeking in a successful candidate. Education and Experience: Experience working collaboratively across K-12 school districts, two-year colleges/community colleges, and four-year universities is highly desirable. An Associate's degree or two (2) years of coursework from an accredited college or university with major coursework in STEM, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, Education, or a related field applicable to the position is required. Five (5) years of experience in management and administration in education, with a focus on one of the following STEM, Healthcare, Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience developing and maintaining partnerships across educational systems, particularly partnerships focused on college and career pathways, is highly desirable. A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position may be considered. Knowledge of: K-12, community college, and four-year university systems, policies, and pathways. California high school graduation and A-G requirements and college entrance requirements. Career Technical Education (CTE), college and career readiness, dual enrollment, and work-based learning. STEM, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, and other high-demand career pathways. Principles and practices of program management, including planning, implementation, evaluation, data analysis, and reporting. Collective impact, cross-sector collaboration, and equity-centered practices. Skills and Abilities: Develop and maintain strong partnerships among K-12 school districts, community colleges, four-year universities, workforce partners, and community organizations. Build trust and foster collaboration among partners with different roles, perspectives, and organizational structures. Coordinate regional initiatives involving multiple institutions and stakeholders. Facilitate meetings and collaborative processes that move shared priorities, decisions, and initiatives forward. Use data to identify pathway gaps, inform decision-making, and support continuous improvement. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences. Work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with limited supervision. Lead with a student-centered and equity-focused approach, with a commitment to improving educational and workforce opportunities for historically underserved students
