Job Summary
Under supervision, working in conjunction with the CW II or School Kitchen Manager. Assist in preparation, heating and serving of school meals. Maintain a clean and sanitary food service area. Responsible for preparing and distributing meals to comply with all mandated school meal programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE OF: • Methods of heating, storing and preparing related food items • Sanitation and safety principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance • Basic kitchen utensils and equipment EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School or equivalent • Some experience in quantity food preparation and kitchen maintenance is desirable • Food service handler’s certificate required
