Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of an assigned Middle School Principal, Director or Coordinator, organize, coordinate, schedule and perform secretarial, clerical and routine administrative duties with significant independence to assist the program administrator(s). Candidate will assure proper and efficient operations of the office; service as secretary to the assigned administrator and coordinate communications between on site administrators, District and site personnel, parents, students and the general public. Candidate must have knowledge of organization, rules, regulations and programs related to school offices, as well as familiarity with school office terminology, practices, and procedures; record keeping techniques; and basic budget monitoring and control. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary, as well as good oral and written communication skills are essential. Good interpersonal communication, problem-solving and customer service skills are essential. Knowledge of Google suite and budget processes is essential with a focus on bookkeeping/finance. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Qualifications: Candidate must be a high school graduate, supplemented by college-level course work in business, secretarial science, or a related field, and three (3) years of increasingly responsible secretarial and clerical office experience involving public contact. This position requires a typing speed of at least 60 WPM.
