Helendale is a small, tight knit locality of 5,000 residents in Southern California’s high desert alongside historic Route 66. Under general supervision, operates typical passenger vehicles in the transportation of students over designated assignments and routes; washes, sweeps, refuels and performs safety checks and inspections on assigned vehicles; and performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
To drive assigned routes in road traffic conditions for the transportation of students from school. Then following school transportation, possible transportation of students from after school Activities/Sports practice/meetings. Employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Is frequently required to kneel, stoop, bend, climb or balance; lift up to 50 pounds. For specific vision, hearing, and physical abilities see job description.
Fingerprint, TB, Clear DMV record, Baseline Physical Clearances will be established after the interview but prior to the first day of assignment.

Driver’s License, a good driving record by providing a clear and current DMV Driver License Information printout (at time of hire) and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy, the passing of a baseline physical, successfully complete an oral interview.
